Lake Maggiore.
She is a sister, a mother, a hostess to the depths that one gets to swim into while at Eranos. She invites one to dive into the realms beneath our human limitations and swim into the magic of the beneath place and time. She settles you into her rhythm and flow, her blueness, her fluidity. She holds space and connects the borders of the land around her.
On this second day at Eranos we began our DreamTending. For those who have done dreamwork, or any other kind of practices that invite you to see with “new” eyes, like trance, shamanic, breath work, etc., you know how one’s heart and mind open in new ways.
Whenever I am in community with those who have studied with Stephen Aizenstadt, there is an easy walk into the Dreamtime consciousness. The quality of the air, light and connection between us immediately shifts when the first images, story, and affect enter the space. I will not share the details of the first dreamer’s dream, but I just want to say that her dream about her desire to live into her wildness after a lifetime of being an intellectual cracked me open emotionally so deeply, that during the break I had to find a quiet place to sob. I could so relate to her longing.
